What is Preksha meditation

What is Preksha Meditation?

Preksha Meditation is a comprehensive, scientifically-structured system of meditation and yogic practices rooted in ancient Jain philosophy and refined through decades of spiritual research. It was developed under the visionary guidance of Acharya Mahapragya, the great saint, thinker, and reformer of the 20th century. The word Preksha means “to see deeply” — to perceive and experience the inner self through focused awareness.

The practice includes a powerful blend of techniques such as Kayotsarg (deep relaxation), Swas Preksha (breath awareness), Anupreksha (contemplative reflection), and Leshya Dhyan (psychic color meditation). These are combined with asana (yogic postures) and pranayama (breath control) to create physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional stability. The system is designed to be universal — accessible to people of all ages, backgrounds, and belief systems.

Preksha Meditation is not only a tool for inner peace but also a structured path for ethical living, emotional transformation, and spiritual evolution. It enhances concentration, calms the nervous system, and cultivates a deep sense of self-awareness — enabling individuals to respond mindfully to life’s challenges. Its practices are equally applicable in schools, workplaces, homes, and spiritual retreats.

What makes Preksha unique is its synthesis of ancient wisdom with modern relevance. Backed by decades of experiential success and ongoing global research, it serves as a bridge between timeless spiritual values and the mental health needs of today’s world. Preksha Meditation offers not just a technique — but a lifestyle of awareness, balance, and compassion.
