You might wonder what the connection between the two is.

“Well…without inner peace, there cannot be global harmony. One exists at the individual level, and the other operates on a planetary scale. One concerns the human mind, while the other encompasses the global community. This implies that global harmony—known as Maitri in the Jain tradition—is only possible when we cultivate a peaceful mind, achievable through the ancient wisdom of meditation.”

Life’s Challenges Are Overwhelming

Modern life is riddled with stress, pain and illness. It’s not enough to recognize our own suffering; we must also become aware of the pain of others all around us.

On a planetary level, the challenges are even more daunting. Satellite imagery shows us the reality of Himalayan glacier retreat, increasing Atlantic El Niño phenomena, and the melting of Arctic and Antarctic polar ice caps—all stark reminders of impending climate change. Add to this the potential threats posed by unregulated advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), and the picture becomes grim. Outwardly, humanity has made remarkable progress: we’ve advanced from bullock carts to jet planes, and from discovering fire to developing the internet and AI. But inwardly, there has been little to no evolution. The same fundamental issues that plagued us thousands of years ago—greed, envy, anxiety, despair—still haunt us, and their impact has only grown exponentially. Violence in the external world and misery within have become constants of human existence, punctuated only by fleeting moments of joy that serve as temporary distractions from our pain.

Why Meditation Holds the Key

To address the root causes of these issues, we must turn inward, and meditation is the most effective way to do so. Preksha Meditation, pioneered by His Holiness Acharya Mahapragya Ji, emphasizes the purification of the psyche—the core of our being. Grounded in 2,500-yearold Jain scriptures, this method teaches that true transformation begins with the mind.

We are left with two choices: either let a restless mind lead us to disaster or cultivate a peaceful mind to create a harmonious and beautiful world. Meditation is the tool to drive our mind in the right direction and reverse the current destructive trajectory.

The Inner War Reflects the Outer World

War doesn’t start on the battlefield; it begins in the mind. Consider this analogy: what would happen if the heart and lungs decided to “go to war” because the heart disliked the structure or colour of lung tissue? This scenario, akin to an autoimmune disease where the body attacks itself, results mostly in chaos and sometimes in fatality.

Similarly, we humans are like cells in a larger organism. To avoid collective disaster, we must abandon our narrow, self-interested narratives and habits. Recognizing our interconnectedness is crucial to preventing the catastrophes unfolding around us.

The Soul’s Power Surpasses AI

AI may eventually surpass human capabilities in many areas, but it can never replicate the soul’s power—a power that meditation alone can ignite.

To genuinely address human suffering, we must focus on relaxing the body, calming the mind, and purifying the psyche through mindful meditation. Techniques such as proper breathing, aura purification, and positive auto-suggestion can guide the mind toward peace and clarity.

Self-Realization as a Service to the World

The urgency for meditative awareness has never been greater. We stand on the brink of total disaster, and the solution lies within each of us. Your personal journey of self-realization is the greatest service you can render to the world.

Our current state of consciousness is a kind of prison, confining us to personal desires and a limited circle of compassion. We fixate on the 0.1% that divides us while ignoring the 99.9% of shared humanity.

Break out of this prison. As the sun shines and fills the world with light, so can a transformed individual illuminate the path for others. In the end, the question is simple: who is the controller of your life, and who is the controlled? The answer lies within you—and meditation is the way to uncover it.

[1
2,3,4
post-16433","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","tag-balance","tag-mindfulness","tag-strength
["GET
